No, if I can remember right the director Lewis Teague said in the dvd commentary they use machines to blow air upwards.

I posted a similar thread before I saw this one. Glad to hear it was only air!

end credits say no animals were harmed in this movie, but if you can trust that, I don't know

Well they did the same thing to the guy's wife so it couldn't have been too bad. But overall I couldn't stand seeing how people were handling that cat roughly through the whole movie and putting it in traffic, even with professional drivers. It was so scared at times

Killing humans - totally fine. Putting cat in controled acting enviroment with cars - the shock and horror.

Don't be an attention seeker. Of course the humans weren't killed. You missed the point entirely by being snotty & attacking someone for merely suggesting the car scenes may have not ended well when involving an animal trained or otherwise.
The use of animals in film as opposed to the human actors are two completely different things & you know it

No it's not, and you KNOW it.

i was going to see this, but then i read the wikipedia part about cat.
                    and thought "oh no"
so i checked her to see if anyone else knew something about it,
and as it seems someone above wrote that they used air
so now im a bit calmer.
i hate when animals get abused in movies.
its never right to hurt animals for something as silly as movies

I also avoid movies when I find out a cat is harmed, even if just in a fictional sense. But overall, the cat is the true hero of this movie and I think you'll like the ending.

Nope. They used compressed air to make the cat jump around.
