Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Cat's Eye

is it possible for a cat to eat a huge fish like the one General the Cat had in this movie ? It seems like a lot of fish for one cat to consume in one sitting ( or standing on all fours in this case lol ) - was just curious on this one of course lol . I unfortunately do not have a cat for a pet of my own but do really like them . Great movie and General the Cat was adorable too ( sadly I didn't see him on IMDB's Cast List - not even under the uncredited ones either ).

Cats are greedy and will probably try to eat as much of it as possible until it is sick, then come back and finish it later. I don't think General could do it in one sitting without throwing up!

That's what I thinking but wasn't really sure because I never was a pet parent to a cat ( only dogs ) but I do like them . Thanks so much wanted-doa for your reply .

I disagree. Cats aren't particularly greedy. Cats, generally, when full will hide left over food for later consumption.

There was a garnish on the side of the platter, so I assumed it was a leftover fish from dinner that he was allowed to pick scraps of meat off.

^^^ this. I always assumed they gave the cat leftovers.
