He grabs dawn Chongs purse n runs out..attracting all sorts of attention, he prolly coulda walked out slowly. But the guy he gave the suitcase of cash to, comes out shooting at the guards. Wtf?? He could have just walked out and no one would have ever known who he was. That part was dumb.

Right. And when he's in the phone booth and Arnie shows up, why does Sully only take one shot? Goofy movie but it was crappy 1985.
