So these guys with the new identitieswe are to believe that they were part of Matrix & Kirby's elite Special Ops crew, and then were reassigned new identities and given regular jobs to protect them. For guys that were supposed bad-asses, why were they SO VERY inept when staring death in the face? The one guy stands there with his trash cans and basically waits to be shot, and the other guy lets Cook run him over with a Cadillac. I would at least have expected some tuck & roll action or any kind of defense. Bad flaw in the movie if you ask me.

I think you've watched too many movies: even the best trained members of The Unit would let their guard down when the garbage collection dates change, or an awkward customer makes a confusing statement about prices. This is kitchen-sink hyper-realism, not one of your damn Jean-Claude Seagal movies.

How do you know the salesman was one of Matrix' men? Cook may have killed him just for the free car, not for the sake of killing him.

It's obvious that we were seeing a list of hits, those being Matrix's men, not just the random murder of a Cadillac salesman because Cook wanted a car.
As for them not being Rambo, it happens. Green Beret gets out of the service, eats pizza, sleeps late, stops going to the range or doing pushups or practicing hand-to-hand people get soft.

Not everyone can be John Matrix.
