    "What's in this?"
    "You don't wanna know!"
So many questions! Why wouldn't she tell him what was in it?! And if it's something nasty, why did she make it in the first place?? And why didn't Matrix just open the sandwich and look inside for himself?!
And then later when the General arrives:
    "Who killed them?"
"It could be the Syrians, the South Americans"
LOL the South Americans? Are you sure it wasn't the Europeans or the Asians?!
Oh man this movie is so laughable. And I love every minute of it 🙂 10/10 cheesy 80s Arnie action flick, right up there with Predator and the rest. Well maybe not The Terminator.

The sandwich definitely had too much red meat in it.

          Fun fact:
          Green
          Beret looks just like
          red
          meat.
Tastes like porterhouse steak, matter of fact.

Was that not the mythical "Slash" that Sully was hunting for?

Soylent Green Beret. It was Matrix's favorite breakfast.

The reason he doesn't "want to know" is that as a big birthday surprise Jenny crammed that sarnie full of hallucinogens
Matrix had been very depressed since retiring from his action packed lifestyle pretty much for Jenny's benefit and she felt guilty. So she called up his old pals Kirby and Bennett to help him re-live "the good old days" one more time.
By the time Kirby arrived, that "sandwich" was kicking in nicely, and just a few minutes after their chat Matrix was, in reality, rolling about on the ground in the woods behind his cabin, drooling from the mouth, with Bennett prodding him with a stick and goading him every so often.
The whole thing was just a delusional fantasy. And those Green Berets he enjoyed for breakfast so much? Green Berries. Nothing more

That makes so much sense. It was all a dream induced by hallucinogenic drugs. But it seemed so real. Mark Lester fooled all of us.

It was probably deer turd from that deer they were feeding at the beginning.

I wonder if Jenny made Bennett some sandwiches while she was held captive?
