      I respectufully disag
      Irrefutable statement.
      Sh!t, nevermind.
Bub is one of the few zombies who has ever stood out as an actual character. Most "zombie favorites" are usually just another member of the mob, shown only momentarily, and usually they're favorites simply because their costume or mannerisms for that short time are somewhat humorous or memorable. Like, "Oh, that zombie is an ice cream man, how funny". Bub is actually an interesting character.

Yeah, i loved the whole Frankenstein theme they had going, i actually had some symphaty towards Bub when he mourned his "creator". Poor guy, he came walking down the corridor to tell his daddy that his chain came loose. He never got to learn how to change tape on that awesome walkman of his.

Yeah, that's one of the interesting things about this installment. The zombies aren't really the bad guys, and we're even given one to sympathize with. Rhodes and his men are the bad guys, and we're actually rooting for the zombies to tear them to shreds. They also pose a threat to the good guys, but only because the soldiers put them in that position. They're dangerous, but you don't blame the lions for eating you if somebody throws you to them.
They tried to give us another zombie to relate to with Big Daddy, but it didn't work nearly as well. He just comes across as an intelligent (for a zombie) bad guy. His intelligence doesn't represent the hope of zombies returning to humanity that Bub's does, it just makes him better at killing humans.

Also, Frankenstein named him after his DAD. His dad, the wealthy surgeon whom they called Bub, "down at the club." Now, that is some rich character detail!

And he made it all the way to Georgia to appear in a tunnel in The Walking Dead.
