I can just about see Burt Reynolds in the role, wouldn't be anywhere near as great as with Chevy Chase, but Mick Jagger??? Wow, that would have been awful.

I've noticed how Mick Jagger was suggested for inappropriate roles. But this would have been the most ridiculous suggestion for casting him that I have come across yet. He would have been terrible. I wish that Fletch could have been played a little bit straighter. But I have to admit Chevy Chase is good in this.
