Love the movie but terry transfers schools in the month of May, most high schools end their year in late May early June and you would not be able to transfer schools until the next semester which would be September

What if the student's family moves from one place to another in the middle of the school year? Exceptions have to be made to fit extenuating circumstances.

Probably just to point out a plot hole.
But if a student moves like that, what happens? They miss the last month/month and half of school? Do they have to make that up?
Back to the movie - how did she register without parents? What about her records from her old school? They would say female. And then she transferred back?
