Nah, well maybe in your case, but I smoke and people are still amazed that im 39. In fact, I'll go as far as to say I've had very unhealthy habits. A lot of people in their 30's and 40s seem to be aging remarkably well compared to older generations. I'm not sure why that is.

It was better portrayed back then; just a nuance about the time and culture back then when people knew the meaning of innocence. I swear that's a sincere commentary and not intended as pretentious even though it may sound like it. Well, it's no secret I hold a special place in my heart for the 80s but it seems kind of absurd and a stretch when a 28 year old today playing an 18 year old because it seems there are no boundaries between the ages anymore when it comes to fashion or behavior of today's people.
I just saw this movie by chance and really loved it. I must still be reeling from the nostalgia of the movie and the comments. -

Leigh McCloskey (Kevin) was 30, and supposedly playing a college aged guy and he was believable. But yes, Joyce looked way younger than 28. Deborah was 27, as well and passed for a teen as well. I am just wondering now if older actors could get away with playing teens. It seems like our culture just doesn't allow for it anymore.

She was 28 in 1985, which means she was 8 in 1965, meaning: she's a year older than Susan Cowsill. Interesting.
