i had to do a double take as soon as her brother showed up and then realized it couldnt possibly be him seeing as how that kid had rougher looks then corey did at that time. If that makes sense

I've noticed that many people seem to have an odd or just not very well attuned "facial recognition software" going on in their head. I think maybe it's akin to being tone deaf or color blind.
