I'm not saying there are fewer of you, of course. I'm saying that rescoring it would not impact you in any way whatsoeve

Yes, if only we can get a RESCORING of the movie. And for those idiots who don't know what it means, it does NOT mean its a remake! Only the musical score will change, nothing else.
I would love to see Ladyhawke rescored and re-released, its such a brilliant movie. -

Every so often I will see a review or discussion of Ladyhawke, and after all the adjectives of "beautiful, romantic, timeless, etc", invariably comes the big
"but"
, as in
"but
the soundtrack"
I agree with every review that calls this movie a romantic classic, and every review that says the soundtrack sucks.
I can only imagine what Ladyhawke would be if it were re-scored with a fitting soundtrack done by someone like the late, great, most romantic film composer ever, John Barry. Omg, Ladyhawke would be up there with Gone With The Wind, Shakespeare In Love, Somewhere In Time, The Way We Were, The Notebook, and all the other outstanding romantic films in my list of All-Time Greatest Romantic Movies Ever Made.
I can only imagine -

Count me in as another who absolutely hated the music in this film. It's a fantastic picture, but the electronic music completely ruins it for me; pulls me out of the time period and reminds me of the 80's (and I didn't think it was good music even for that time!). ArrrghI really, really dislike the music in this.

I actually think the sheet music is fine - they just need an orchestra. I think they could use the same songs and it would be fine. There are snippets from the soundtrack that are really quite lovely, like the music when the hawk is flying over the lake and when Navarre and Isabeau almost touch and the end credits.

How many years later and this is still an issue, lol. Honestly, it's a love it or hate it thing. I happen to love the score, it makes this movie unique.

I re-watched this movie again today - and saw this thread. I guess the music never bothered me much as a young teen(I was 13 in 1985). But going back to re-watch this movie all these years later - I must agree that I think the score is WRONG for this film. There is nothing medieval sounding about it - it sounds like it was made for a very cheap 80's science fiction film and NOT for a movie that is set in medieval times.
So Yes I would rather watch a rescored version of this movie too.

A re-score of the film would be ok with me, so long as they include the original score (or theatrical version) along with.
Maybe they could do this for a special edition blu-ray, which will contain the new version along with the old version. -

I just watched it today for the first time and didn't really like the score much, it sounded more like it belonged on a buddy cop movie than this! the movie was great but most of the music was really bad. It'd be better with not techno 80's music.

You people are a bunch of morons (those agreeing with the sentiment of the OP). The unique score to this great film is one of the many things that makes it well, unique.
I'm surprised any of you would like the film at all, since it shows some degree of good taste.
Just go back to your cookie cutter and incredibly mediocre lord of the rings / hobbit or whatever movies.
