I just watched this on netflix today for the first time in I don't know how many years, and I couldn't help but laugh at some of the innuendo in this movie that completely went over my head when I saw this as a kid. One example is when Pee Wee and Simone are talking in the dinosaur and PW tells her to follow her dream of moving to Paris and not letting anything stop her. Her response, with her jealous boyfriend listening from outside: "No one's ever put it to me that way." That line and the look on the bf's face made me crack up.

At the very end, when Pee Wee had his cameo ad the desk guy/concierge in the big Hollywood production He is cheesing at the camera, looking directly into the lens pretty much the whole time, awkwardly moving around to remain in the shot. Hilarious.

JAMES BROLIN - The casting of him as PW was a stroke of brilliance! Cracks me up just looking at him.
Exactly my thoughts as well. Him and Morgan Fairchild as Dottie. And of course, Brolin repeating Pee-Wee's phrase, "I'm a loner. A rebel!" -

One of the funniest visual scenes is once PW makes due with the bikers, they let him ride off with one of their vests and bike. Then PW kicks start it and the bikers jump up in joy (that was funny too) and while the camera stays watching PW drive off, he eventually rides into a sign. And it's more funny watching PW tumble. There's a clip of it on youtube here -
I hate it when Im singing along to a song, and the artist gets the words wrong.
