Heck yeah it scared the crap outta me! I still get chills watching it today: not because of the face, but because of the build-up to it. So well done!
Wow, the actrice died just three years after the movie came out??? That's too bad. -

That part used to scare the crap out of me at the age of four when I first watched it. My brother and sister used to give me a bunch of crap when they showed that scene where she has the bug eyes!
It is however one of my favorite scenes in the movie along with the Tequila dance scene.
I loved that movie and still do after 22 years. -

My sister, two cousins, and I would pause the VCR right when she made the face and run in and out of the room to see who could look at it the longest. Today it it totally ridiculous to me, but back then oh man almost peed my pants! -

I wonder if any of you are my friend's little brother who screamed his head off at that scene when we saw it in the theater. I can't watch that scene without thinking about it - makes me laugh harder every time.
