    This is one of my alltime favorite movies, but I need help with a line of dialog.
    At 17 minutes in, Delilah is straightening Rita's bed, talking about the pyramids. Rita says, "Come on, Delilah. Draw my bath," and Delilah say, "Yes, ma'am. Now, will you be wanting the big bubbles, or the " What? It sounds like "asses milk". Is that right?
    Thanks for your help.

        It's a Cleopatra reference.
        Bathing in asses' milk was supposed to be an ancient beauty remedy nothing to do with arses, although I can see that it might cause confusion in the USA

          As an American, "asses milk" made me think of felching and I got confused. 😕

            Annie Jo Edwards, hysterical in this, pretty much steals the scenery once again when she takes on Jennifer Tilly in "Bullets Over Broadway".

              Pretty sure it is "ersatz milk" which was (and is) basically a non-dairy milk product, like almond milk is today. It probably would have been soy milk during the 1930s. See also 'ersatz milch'.

                And why in the heck would the maid say that? Totally ridiculous!
                Check the script- its no mystery;
                Delilah: You ain't been yourself since you come back from them pyramids
                Rita: No, it's nothing. I'll be OK.
                Delilah: I don't suspect it has anything to do with that explorer fellow, Mr Tom Baxter.
                Rita: Now, why would you say that?
                Delilah: The way he speaks, all romantic-like.
                Rita: Yeah. Come on, Delilah. Draw my bath.
                Delilah: Yes, ma'am. Now, will you be wantin' the big bubbles or the asses' milk?
