So, let me get this straight: The "The Purple Rose of Cairo" began with a group of American tourists running into an explorer searching for the purple rose in Cairo. Then he flies back to NYC with them, and they all dick around for a while? Cool.
"Cross my heart and kiss my elbow."

Do you need a movie within a movie to have a well-developed plot? Some actual movies have plots that are just as flimsy.
