I wish there was a sequel.

It is really an unspeakable crime against humanity that two of my favourite movies of all time, Cobra and Commando have not got a sequel! It would be a pretty tall order to top them but anyway. I could use a Cobra "the cure" special edition blu ray with the supposed extra material inserted back in or at least as extras

I remember the Boston Globe doing an article called "Snake Bit" the said that Stallone had had to back out of deal with Cannon because Cobra got poor reviews and didn't really do anything at the box office. They had a similar issue with the Raiders-ripoff called Alan Quartermain, which did have a sequel that just tanked. At the time (mid to late 80's) Cannon was kind of slowing down, so they (and the public) didn't exactly cry for not getting Cobra 2.

Made $160 million world wide with a reported budget of $25 million. Instead of making a sequel to this, the geniuses at Canon decide to pay Stallone a ridiculous amount of money to portray an arm wrestling trucker in "Over The Top", which was a box office flop. "Cobra" may have been a b grade "Dirty Harry" imitation, but a sequel to it would have been a better way to spend money hiring somebody as expensive as Stallone.
