I think m60green meant Cruise is a jerk. I don't know if Scorsese has ever been a Scientologist, but cult members of all kinds are often jerks. They try to turn you against friends and family and turn them against you to cut off all your moorings and leave you alone drifting at sea lost and enslaved to them.
