Do you think the wardrobe department was inspired by Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior by dressing him in leather? His leather jacket is missing a sleeve just like Max.

They might've gotten the sleeve from Max, but I think the leather in both cases was just inspired by the fashion of the time.
One funny detail I just now noticed is the skull heads he's pinned all over it, like he's keeping a tally
