You people really don't like your opinions being challenged, do you.

I just feel that history is written by the victors, that's all
Maybe you would prove your point if we were to have an extended debate, but lets just watch another movie instead - ok ?

The point is that you are wrong to say that the German army was not involved in most of the atrocities.
I just feel that history is written by the victors, that's all
True - those with the resources and opportunity get to write their narrative of history. Maybe this is why we know far more about Dresden, allied bombing, German resistance, the rape of German women in Berlin and the treatment of German POWs in Siberia than we know about the experiences of Belorussian peasants under German occupation. -

Yeah, I was thinking that watching it; Churchill was technically a war criminal too, right? I despise the reductive mythology the likes of Spielberg and co. have bequeathed us and at least appreciated this for taking us into the depths in a way those hacks don't. When do we ever see movies about Eastern Europe during wartime? Much of today is backed up by WW2 lies and would tumble like a house of cards if people weren't so inundated with our dear leaders' hot air on the subject. I spit whenever Remembrance Day rolls around, like screw you parasites; nothings changed, its business as usual! How does a species wipe out
50 million
of its own and go right back to living the same way as soon as its over? 'Over' haha.
There are no good guys or bad guys, it wasn't some Band of Brothers ra-ra comic book movie just alot of crazy, messed up monkies getting shoved around on the geopolitical chess board by forces they scarcely comprehend, same as its ever been. That part at the end with the Hitler montage really sticks out like a sore thumb but really
no one
comes off looking good here. Humanity has PTSD. -

This movie isn't about high-powered, political hacks driving soldiers before them; it's about simple, innocent peasants being steam-rolled. They are clueless about the world beyond the next village, much less Moscow or Berlin. Forget about searching for bias; view this movie for what it was meant to be, a snapshot of a larger picture.
