I was going to make a topic about this. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it were the case. After all, the character of Baxter Stockman was taken directly from the 1986 remake of The Fly.
Also, seeing pictures of the two practically side by side like that, I regret that they didn't attempt to feature Krang in the live action Ninja Turtle movies. -

I wonder if that's where they got the idea. Unless Krang was older. Was the cartoon based on a comic, or the other way around.

Probably planned too, but the 3rd must of had a lower budget.
I wonder if they do another reboot of TMNT that it could include Krang. I'd like a direct adaptation of the TURTLES IN TIME video game.

, however, think the "Spider Mastermind" from the original "Doom" pc game was totally based on the alien from this movie especially when you see the original latex model they made (which was digitized and touched up for the game's sprites.

It's nearly the same thing, just with teeth and mechanical legs and a gatling gun.
Even the eyes look the same.
