i swear at first we dnt hear his voice. its a bit of a moot point whether she belives she can from the beginning, but the fact that we pick this up part waz through (i think), adds to the feeling that we are following the journez with her.so there

The woman saved his life. She could have just turned off her computer and walked away. It's just one of those times where people instantly bond and share a connection and while if my memory is correct at the end of the movie after he introduces himself they dont even kiss or anything she just says "this is jack" with a big ass gleaming smile on her face. So the dont really say that they fall in love.

I am sure there was something romantic between the two. The director did not completely spell it out because he knows the audience, while wanting them together, would not want to see Whoopti kissing anyone.

When the person could hear him on the computer then I think she could as well. Because there was the part where he pisses her off and she is not looking at the computer and he says "Terry" she replies with "What?"

your right amoammo, you don't hear Jacks voice, until she goes to his apartment and listens to his answering machine, then she starts to imagine it.

It would be a boring first half of the movie if Terri was the only one with dialog and everyone in the audience had to read what was on the screen. It just makes more sense to give Jack a voice straight away. I didn't think the voice of Jack matched the look of Jack though.

Before she hears the answer phone message Terri reads out all of Jack's messages from the computer screen. After the answer phone message you hear the very lovely Jonathan's own voice reading out his messages.
It is a fantastic film with a wonderful cast.
