I haven't seen this film since it was first released and have just bought it on DVD. I was convinced that when I saw it the first time, in Altamirano's final scene he was dressed in full cardinal's regalia and held the audience's gaze in a transfixing very long head and shoulders shot either immediately pre or post credits. On my DVD he is dressed in more ordinary clothes with a cardinal's skull cap and the stare out at the audience is nowhere near so long or so dramatic. Does anyone else remember this or is it just the ravages of time on my memory cells.
