No movie is perfect so I thought it would be fun to hear what everybody disliked about the film.

I didn't like Gordie telling us about what Ace and his friends were up to. Because Gordie wasn't there, so he would have no idea what they were doing.
I was just thinking that the other day while watching it!
Although I don't think SBM is the only culprit of that.

I agree with Leonard Maltin, the language in SBM was not typical of the fifties. Oh year we cursed but no where near what this movie depiicted, it puzzled me that Rob Reiner had to use the four letter words to that degree.

Chris dying always gets me. He went through so much, finally made it out of the small town, became successful, then dies being a peacemaker.WHHHYYYY
Also the line how they became "just another face in the crowd". I know it happens, from personal experience, but man after an adventure like that, it hurts to know you lose the people you shared it with.
I get sad at the end, I feel like it ran too short.
Not like I love you -

There should have been more scenes similar to when Gordie breaks down at the end. He and Chris each got one. Why not the others?
Vern was the only one who
didn't
have a breakdown scene. Teddy's breakdown scene was earlier in the story, outside the junkyard fence after Milo called his dad a loony. -

@grim107
Teddy got an emotional sceneWhen the guy pays out his dad and he's crying and he says apologises for 'ruining' everyone's fun. I thought that was a nice touching scene with him. I guess Vern didn't get one because he was the 'wimp' of the group and cried about everythingHe also seemed very care-free with troubles, compared to the other guys.
I loved every single thing about this movie -

i was thinking about this and i am VERY glad and grateful that the other two, Vern and Teddy, never got crying scenes.
Even though teddy got a little one.
Its because their chracters were no where near as likeable as Gordie and Chris. Teddy is a freak and Vern is just a fat loser.
Also i doubt that the actors would have been able to pull of the scenes convincingly.
Gordie and Chris's crying scenes were amazing.

'Teddy is a freak and Vern is just a fat loser.' - I completely disagree with this! They were definitely as likable as Chris and Gordie, they just weren't the main focus like those two were! And Teddy wasn't a freak, he had some serious issues which were understandable considering his crazy dad and the things he'd been through! Also Vern wasn't a fat loser he was just their friend, he was the care free one that didn't let things bug him as much!
'You people. If there isn't a movie about it, it's not worth knowing, is it?'
