Gordie because I can be on the shy side, I'm creative and full of imagination haha. And I want to be a writer, so there's that.
Chris because I'm the usually the voice of reason/peacekeeper.
I watched this movie for the first time when I was 14. My nickname is Addie but back then I spelled it "Addy" and I remember changing it to an "ie" at the end because of Gordie's name haha.

I'm mostly a Teddy/Gordie mix. I'm outgoing, sarcastic and come from a military family like Teddy. I'm a writer and I can be sensitive like Gordie. There's a little Vern in there too, being naive and lacking some common sense.
I would say I'm the most like Teddy. I'm weird and I don't care.
I think it's hard to be a Chris. He was a perfect leader type. I think he's the type of person we look up to and try be. It's rare we meet one. I certainly haven't but many have some of his traits. -

I'm definitely the Gordie of my group - misunderstood, not very confident or outgoing but introverted (in the Myers-Briggs sense), pensive and passionate about writing.
One of my best friends growing up reminded me so much of Teddy. Crazy kid who had some family issues in his childhood and it showed in his teenage years. He was also, like Teddy, the most "militaristic" of our group.
We even had a Vern - fat, nerdy kid who we always picked on. As we were reading
Lord of the Flies
in school, the poor guy also became our "Piggy".
Lastly, my best friend from childhood to this day is like if you took Chris and also made him the comedian of the group, in addition to being the more peaceful and kind-hearted leader. -

Gordie is the protagonist. We see the events through his eyes. as you can see from these responses, most people are saying Gordie. Its only natural.
Take most ANY film you're gonna relate most to the person telling a first-hand account.
