I saw it in the theatre in '86 when I was 21 with my girlfriend who was 20, and we both absolutely loved it.

It's a good story, well told.
It has the capacity to be liked by people of all ages.
After all, kids often like movies featuring adults, don't they?

Who in the world could think this is a kids movie? lol
It's definitely a movie for adults, that's just about kids.

Absolutely. This movie came out when I was 15, but I just never watched it. I finally watched it yesterday for the first time and I absolutely loved it.

I don't understand the question. You're asking if Will Wheaton as an adult will like this movie? I'm sure he does. He made a lot of money with the movie and I supposed it furthered his career. I don't see why he would hate this movie. If he does, this is his opinion and he has every right to his opinion

This movie is so much more meaningful as an adult viewer.

i always liked the movie when i was a kid. when i re-watched it as an adult it became my favorite movie of all time.
kids will enjoy it for the story's premise, but adults will enjoy it for the story's meaning

Yes absolutely. Of course thats not a guarantee.
But Yes I think adults will enjoy this because although the film is mainly about four childhood friends at that age of true bonding its perspective is told through an adult looking back and reminiscing about those old days that will never come again.
Personally I am surprised this film doesn't have a better overall user rating on here.
As far as I am concerned its a classic.

I think my dad was bored when he took me to see it. He was older, though. He probably would've enjoyed it more if he'd been a Baby Boomer. It will always be one of my favorites, though, no matter how old I get.

This was my favorite movie as a kid, and i'm 40 now, and i still think its a nearly flawless film.
But even back in '86, i remember my dad liking it for the sole reason that he could relate to the depictions. My dad was actually probably 20 years older than the generation of kids of the 1960's, but still, he could more relate to that that bygone era than relate to the modern day of hair metal bands and gangster rap.
Its one of those exceptions to the rule, where the film about kids wasn't necessarily made FOR kids. It was an equally relatable to adults as it was to kids, methinks.. I mean. Stephen King wrote it, as a adult. Rob Reinder directed it as an adult They were channeling stuff that meant something to them personally. not simply just pandering to teenie-bopper ticket-goers.
