deniro is Angel coming back to reclaim his soul form his soul form johnny posing as the devil , he send johnny to look for his partners in crime , sleep with his own daughter and then frame him for her murder , take back his soul , send johnny to hell , and thats why the killing make sense why would johnny kill them they think he is harry , and the church scene and the final shot of deniro shave , he doesnt have to pose as the devil anymore , and when says your soul belongs to me that means now you remember who you are , i am taking my soul back .

While this is interesting, there was never a question that DeNiro was anyone other than the devil. The idea of someone "coming back" means their soul comes back, and Johnny stole Harry Angel's soul. There was nothing to "come back".

I don't know what you mean by "revenge". Johnny Favorite sold his soul to the devil and tried to get out of it via a loophole by stealing Harry Angel's soul, and the devil (played by DeNiro) came to collect on the deal (i.e. Johnny's/Harry's soul). The End.
