In the third one or is it the fourth one they were planning, he was written into the story to be either turned into a corrupt cop or killed off I forgot as it's been a few years since the last I remembered, but the storyline seemed too simple, basically another script done over before, and never materialized beyond script. Reiser wasn't necessary to cast anyway, so they didn't bother with him. The Detroit scene was more focused on Inspector Todd, his death, Axle's mourning, and his regards to Todd's wife, since Todd was a man he respected and learned from, even though Axle kept stomping over Todd's command.
