    Hello.
This is a hard one and I doubt anyone knows the movie. But let's give it a try.
    What I can remember.
1.The movie is either american or european. it is not asian. that's for sure.
2.it must have been made between the 50s and the 70s. maybe earlier. but it was definitely made before the 80s.
3.The movie is a period adventure but I cant remember the exact era of history that it is set. The swords are rapiers, like those in the Three Musketeer films, so the movie must be during, before or after that period (16th-17th century)
4.the main characters of the story are two swordsmen, one younger, the other older. they meet and become friends. they also meet two women and become friends with them too. there is also the villain of the movie whom they face.
5.Now here is the important part: the older sworsman can communicate in a way with the birds. he doesnt order them but the birds consider him a friend and follow him.
6.there is a scene where the two friends fight a bunch of baddies in front of the two ladies to demonstrate their swordsmanship skills. they defeat the baddies, but they return and grab the older swordsman and rip off his shirt. The birds, I think two hawks, attack the baddies in their faces and forces them to let loose the good guy. He defeats them again. All this happens in front of the two ladies who then go to congratulate the two men.
And that's all I can remember from the movie. Anyone knows the title?

Did we guess your previous query correctly - re: 70s/80s action movie about diamonds, 2 men and 1 woman? You didn't bother replying

          I meant
          he didn't reply. NOT
that none of the answers is the correct one. I don't know IF any of them are, or not.
I'll let you know when I come-up with a new signature,

I'm pretty sure my suggestion was the correct answer . It would just be nice of Killick to answer before starting another pointless query
