I doubt they'll remake Phone Booth considering that phone booths are a thing in the past. If they do, it will probably be about some tranny stuck in a photo booth being gunned down by a sniper.

If it can remade with great respect towards the original, like they did with the glorious remake of The Wonder Years, I think this could be a big winner.
There are many black actors who would fill Steve Martin's shoes quite nicely.
And John Candy? I can already see Danny Glover perfect in that role.
I see it as a new American classic.
