      What a great site and a great take on the trunk, I think that really sums it up nicely. I do recall from another thread posted here that in the original script it was revealed that Del was carrying around artifacts from his home such as a lamp, a framed picture. If that were revealed I think I would have been bawling my eyes out, I think it's best to leave the contents a nice mystery. Thanks for the link, like the site, btw.

        The picture can be seen when Del puts it on the night stand. I just assumed it was clothes in the trunk. Great Thanksgiving movie!

          If you really want to know, the contents of the trunk are described in the script in the link in my signature. Though it's not actually in the movie, so it's up to the reader to accept it as canon or not.
