It would have been about 44 minutes.

I actually liked all the stock footage. The first film was awesome and I couldn't get it out of my head all day, so it was just like watching it all over again.
I've been waiting for you, Ben.

I dont know why this movie is rated so low on here. I understand that almost half the movie rehashes the first movie, but I'm okay with that since the first movie was a great film. Then add a psycho Eric Freeman to the tale and I think this sequel was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the second half and the story of what happened the Ricky. Great film! I'm glad mother superior finally got her punishment.

          are you guys INSANE?
That's like if Nolan made the Dark Knight and the first hour was footage of Batman Begins, Or like if the first hour of the Two Towers was footage of The first lord of the rings movie.
That is lazy and crappy movie making. NO ONE wants to see the same movie again, specially on a sequel.
If you love the first movie then you just.. I dont know, WATCH THE FIRST MOVIE????
I hated this for the simple fact that it did the rehash. it completely deserves the hate for that alone
          right.

I saw 2 before I saw the original, so the archive footage came in handy. I still like this film as a whole, though.

I first saw this when I rented both movies on VHS, so I watched this right after the first movie and it was just like watching the movie I'd just seen over again. While I have to laugh at its shamelessness use of flashbacks, this is easily one of the worst excuses for a movie I've ever seen.
Bonus question: Why did they use different people in the scenes with the "teen lovers at orphanage" in this movie, rather than the same clip from the first one? Could they somehow not clear those shots to use in this one?

They were different people? I never noticed.

The first half of this movie is like one long "Previously" sequence on TV shows.
When theres no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.

The Academy considers 40 minutes to be feature length, so technically they didn't even need the reused footage.

Nothing fanboys don't know but Lee is this editor looking to make his big break. He is provided footage from the first film from new distributors and told to try and format it into a new film to make cash off of it denied thanks to parent groups wanting it outlawed from theaters. Instead Lee gets Freeman and a few others to overlie it with a small additional follow up. It didn't make much money anyway.
