Did they switch the colors on purpose (Dark Helmet - green, Lone Starr - red) or was it just a sloppy mistake?

What a silly question. You may as well wonder if it was a sloppy mistake to make Dark Helmet's helmet too big, or make the gold droid female, or to misspell the name as "Yogurt". You do realize that this is not a Star Wars movie, right?
