            I went to see it, I think it was one of the first films I saw in the cinema. There was 5 of us who went, I do not know what the price of a ticket was back then but surely it paid for Lois's pink lipstick.

                No idea of it's Foreign gross but understand its domestic gross in US/CAN was a paltry $17 Million which was the actual slashed filming budget from its original pegged $30 Million.
                Gawd what an absolute disaster as the Golan/Globus Canon Group film maker's halved the budget also from their "He Man:Masters of the Universe" at same time.
                Now if they had just made one or the other at $30 Mill and either Masters or Supe IV was a success they could have then made the other with a decent budget for spfx and quality but instead they decided to film both at same time and halved each production's budget in half resulting in both being flops that lacked good production values figuring they would cash in big for two at the price of one movie.
                Of course they failed and big budget movies were not their for'te' as making the cheap and quick action films they were known and successful for.
                Nothing is as it seems, nothing is just one thing and nothing is ever just over there;

                  Don't have actual figures, but according to the 1995 edition of
                  Box Office Hits
                  by Phil Swern and Mike Childs it was the 8th biggest movie of the year at the UK Box Office. The 9th Biggest movie of the year was
                  Full Metal Jacket
                  , which according to IMDB made 2,983,460 in the UK, so around the 3million mark seems likely. It clearly performed a lot better in the UK than in the US, I suspect because the UK's more restrictive rating system limited the viewing options for kids and families.
