Again, I think this movie, and particularly Glenn Close, were extremely underrated. Too many scenes from which to choose, but the scene where Close visits & watches Malkovich's eyes follow Pfeiffer and stare at her realizing he's fallen for her is, I think, the best. But where she declares war after telling him how she sees this as one of her greatest victories is priceless. And the symbolic removal of her facade is brilliant.

The tension builds throughout the film, so for me the best scenes are towards the end;
The cruel 'dumping' scene of Madame de Tourvel by de Valmont
The final fiery showdown between Marquise de Merteuil and De Valmont - incredible acting. (reminiscent of Burton/Bujold's great finale in 'Anne of the Thousand Days, 1969)
When De Merteuil breaks down upon news of her rival/lover's death- finally, and rarely, showing raw emotionand again in the ending. -
