    The old woman (Uma Thurman's grandmother) is seen playing cards at one point with what seem like large tarot cards. Any idea what set it is?

      I thought they were playing cards but the backs of them had something ominous on them like some sort of creature like a skeleton. It was interesting. I've heard that a lot of dark magic stuff like tarot and ouiji were seen as parlor games back in the day. So maybe it is tarot but it was just more of a game like reading a horoscope or something by today's standards.

        I can't say but somewhere in this book lies the answer to your question;

        They were probably regular playing cards, which were popular at the time and is mentioned in the introduction to the book linked above.
