I finally finished watching all the Dirty Harry movies in order last night, IMO here are the rankings from best to worst:
- Dirty Harry
- The Enforcer
- Magnum Force
- Dead Pool
- Sudden Impact
Dead Pool and Sudden Impact were really lightweights in the series. They would have been okay on their own as 80s action flicks but when you compare them with the rest of the series they seem really redundant and kind of let downs. I think they waited too long after the original 3 to make them, and they kind of lost the feel.

My ranking would have to go like this;
- Dirty Harry 9/10: A true classic.
- Magnum Force 7/10: A good 70's thriller but pale and flabby compared to it's predecessor.
- Dead Pool 6.5/10: Much tighter than the other sequels and more focused, but probably too different for most viewer's tastes admittedly.
- The Enforcer 6/10: A mixed bag to me, the Tyne Daly dynamic I found actually quite good but the scenes with the evil hippy gang I found very boring. They didn't seem like much of a threat for Dirty Harry, it gave off a T.V. movie vibe.
- Sudden Impact 5/10: Some good scenes here and there but equally there were lot's of dull and slow scenes to counter the good. Also had a quite pretentious and arts'y tone at times, then at other times it feels like a tongue in cheek send-up of Dirty Harry. A Strange film to me.

Like the OP, as a huge Clint fan, just finished watching them all back to back.
For me it's Dirty Harry, then Magnum Force.
The other 3 are like terrible made for TV movies and rank equally poorly for me, but the much maligned Dead Pool at least has that RC car chase, which I thought was genuinely tense and original. -

- Dirty Harry - a stone cold classic. The best, and most memorable, villian. The best script. The best direction. And the best score of the entire series.
- The Enforcer - Easily the best of the sequels. Tyne Daly's rookie character is the best of Eastwood's partners, and is a great counterpoint to Eastwood's Harry.
- Magnum Force - A strong sequel, well written and plotted, but lacks the magic and the pacing of the first film.
- The Dead Pool - A real mixed bag. Seeing Eastwood back is alway welcome, Clarkson was good in the reporter role, as was Evan Kim as the new partner. But Van Horn's direction is a bit amatuer hour, Jim Carrey gave an awful, over-the-top gurning performance, the Guns n Roses cameo stuck out like a sore thumb, and to this day, I still don't know what exactly Liam Neeson's accent was supposed to be. It had it's moments, and it was mercifully short, making it overall watchable enough, but it really did feel like the series had run out of steammaybe because they used so much of it on the set of this fim.
- Sudden Impact - There's almost two films going on here. One is a standard Dirty Harry story, which has actually got some great moments, and at its core a compelling enough storyline, plus Popwell was great (and under-used) and there's some great Harry iconography in this one. The other is the rape/revenge b-movie, which seems to be trying to ape DePalma a bit too much, and which unfortunately has a horrible central performance by Sondra Locke, which just sinks the whole thing before it can gain any real traction. And when the two meet and cross over into one another, unfortunately it just doesn't quite work. It actually has one of the best endings of the series, funnily enough, but half the film, the Locke half, in my opinion just doesn't work all that well and just comes across as downright clunky, and her performance wooden as hell, and that turns what could have been a great sequel (had they had a more compelling actress in that part) into a bit of a hodge podge really. It's an okay film with moments of greatness, but overall still the weakest of the lot to me because of how much Locke's misjudged (and in my opinion, downright poor) performance sinks a great deal of the film.
So in short (too late!) I love the first three films, while I basically tolerate the other two for the few moments of Dirty Harry coolness that they still have to offer.
Just my opinion anyhow.

Dirty Harry
10 out of 10
2)
Magnum Force
10 out of 10
3)
Sudden Impact
9 out of 10 (Loved this film, and thought it was a great, gritty entry)
4)
The Enforcer
8 out of 10
5)
The Dead Pool
7 out of 10 (Not as bad as it's made out to be, it's a solid film that just doesn't quite live up the previous)
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point? -

My ranking:
- Dirty Harry - 10/10
-. Sudden Impact - 10/10 - Magnum Force - 7/10
- The Enforcer - 6/10
- The Dead Pool - 3.5/10
Thats basically my ranking, Sudden impact was equally on par with the original if not better. Magnum force was almost as good but was let down by the final act, death by crashing motorbike into lake? hardly satisfying. Enforcer had all the elements of the top 3 instalments but was hurt by the tone, villains and storyline. The less said about deadpool the better, other than the opener,rc car chase and jim carrey's death scene I cant recall anything substantial that happened. The movie was just listless
- Dirty Harry - 10/10
