I have seen the old man act in other movies before but possibly you are correct about that.

The old man was played by Royal Dano. He was a character actor who has been in dozens of movies and TV shows, mostly westerns. He even played Abraham Lincoln in a TV miniseries. But, yes, he was in Spaced Invaders, too.

COOL Thanks for that information. That is what I tend to notice is that a lot of actors do character acting it seems like but if it pays the bills then why not do it? I mean I would do that if it meant I was only a character actor.

that was the first thing I thought when I seen him. Especially with wanting to make money off of what he found.

When you 'seen him'? What grade did you finish in school?

I hate that scene. Disturbed me as a child and disturbs me to this day. I skip over it whenever I watch this.
