When the guys are in the ice cream truck they mention Hidden Lake, but never expand on it What's the deal?

It's a "Spaghetti Incident" line. That is, a film or book trope where the characters reference previous events not privy to the viewer, but intrinsic to building characterization.
I.E. "Holy God everything's falling apart - It's turning into the spaghetti incident all over again!"
I don't know if you're aware of this but I've already changed things. I killed Ben Linus.
