What are your long range plans? Do you plan to get a job, or are you just going to keep going to the food bank? And if you don't have money for food, how do you pay your rent?

I’m glad people aren’t hating on you for going to the food bank. One person is blocked on this thread, so I don’t know what they said, but I hope they didn’t say anything bad. All in all, If you need the help, you shouldn’t be ashame to get it.
Like I told you before, my sister and her husband are apparently Christian, so they say. They struggle a lot financially because the husband doesn’t like working, so he is always between jobs or out of work. However, they refuse to get government assistance because of their religion. He says that if you get government assistance that goes against God and because my sister is the ever loving wife, she agrees. But, that’s stupid. They have three kids and live in a small two bedroom apartment. they need the help. But, whatever… do what you want.
Back in the Soapbox….the census was that people who go to food bank, get welfare, etc are simply lazy, uneducated, fat, black, Hispanic people who don’t want to work, they just want to have a bunch of kids and feed off of the government services. I remember a lot of threads like that and a lot of posts where people were basically saying that.
I don’t understand why so many people hate on individuals who get government assistance. It’s stupid. You would think people would want to help their fellow person. Also, people honestly don’t get a lot even if they’re on government assistance. For example, you can’t live off of $400 a month of government assistance. Big whoop. Wow, they’re riding high. No! It’s not like that. And it’s really hard to get government assistance in the first place. For example, I’ve been trying to get Medicaid, which is life Insurence and I can’t get it. My medical illnesses are not considered “good enough”, even though their life threatening.
I don’t know, some people are stupid.
I hope you get your life sorted. I really do. -

I do have Medicare, though
. It took getting a lawyer to get it, but I have it now. So, I have that. Which covers my hospital services. But, anything outside of that is not covered. I have to pay out of pocket. Which ****ing sucks. It’s beneficial to have both Medicare and Medicaid.
That’s another thing, the government services consistently change the rules on you, so it’s confusing as all ****. So, whoever wants to ****ing say that people who get government services are smooching can **** off because it’s a battle. You go to social security or welfare department, and see how well you do. It’s hell on earth.
And I’m just getting health insurance. Can you imagine getting food stamps, housing, money. God, my heart goes out to those people. It’s a struggle.
So, I know how you feel.
