I thought the dispatching of the dream warriors, while amazing and clever, kind of left nothing in the tank. Kincaid, Joey and Kristin were so much more intriguing characters then the new batch. -

I thought it was a pretty bland and forgettable entry in the series other than the cockroach death, and killing off the previous cast like they were nothing was a big mistake to the film. Also the climax was very anti-climatic.

Can't argue those points, except the Dream Warriors deaths. I thought they were well done and sadly, it was needed to propel the story forward. I understand that it propelled it to a crappy story line, but even if Dream Master had turned out to be fantastic, the Dream Warriors would still have had to pass.
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Dream Warriors depicted the Elm St kids as tough and gritty losers who fought to stay alive and stick together. Once they died, we were introduced to 90210 spoiled brats. -

I thought it started out great and I liked it a lot and killing the remaining warriors off were cool, but the new characters to me were bland and s hitty. Ending was sorta cool tho. The characters in Dream Child were better imo

What i mean is the Last Surviving Elm Street kids came way to early in the series, There should have had the movie out in Suburbia first then for the 4th movie put the last handful of survivors in Westin Hills

Yeah, I can see what you mean there.
Personally, I quite like the fourth one. It wasn't anywhere near as good a movie as the original one, and the third one felt more of a decent horror sequel than this one. But of the goofy sequels, which was pretty much all of them apart from the third, I think this was my favourite.
Very 80s, very nostalgic. But enjoyable fun.
