Yeah, that's gotta be the hardest part in the movie. I just felt so sorry for him when he got scratched by the cougar, and it was like he he was crying in defiance when he roared. I was thinking "you go little bear" So sad, but I'm glad his big friend helped him out and save him.
Nobody asks to be a hero, it just sometimes turns out that way. -

I am also 21 year old, and I still feel miserable about it. Of all the death scenes I have seen this is one of the hardest. Although I still find it weird how exactly she died (she pulled a rock on herself didn't she?), it is so hard. Especially that the cub does not accept it, he tries to wake his mummy, tries to believe she isn't really hurt that bad, and as he is trying, we are too! And that's what makes it so hard to watch, the little cub doesn't have to try, it is over. He is now alone, without his beloved mother, alone, and afraid:(
I really kept thinking for a while, come on! Maybe she is not dead! -

I watched this movie when I was about 6 and watched it the other day. I am now 24 and absoutely loved it! I thought it was so touching and emotional I couldnt hold back the tears. A beautiful movie. It's amazing the affect animals have on us. I bought it thinking that it would be quite dated and not as good as i remembered but it was even better now that I am a grown-up. I got it for 5 and it's the best bargain ever. The scene that i thought was the most emotional is where the big bear gets shot and the baby bear cleans his wounds. I was in tears (so was my mum). Anyone who reads this should buy it!!

I love this movie after watching it on HBO. Then watched it a few more times. I cried when the mother died, when the men leave the baby cub and he cries out, and the ending. I probably wouldn't watch it again because it makes me too sad.
Works on contingency basis? No, money down! -

Brilliant movie, and it made me misty eyed lots of times, the scene where the cub tore the rope and slept with bear skin was also very poignant.
We humans, as the greatest animal on this earth, have a duty to protect the nature and wild lives, but we've been failing miserably -

Was I the only one that cried when all the dogs got attacked? That part got it for me, I just didn't feel it for the bear(I think this is the right movie)
Was I born a cute, vindictive little bitch? Or did society make me that way? -

I was 30 when I first saw this film. My boyfriend and I watched it in my apt. on cable and you would have thought we were in a movie theatre, because we clapped at the end of this film. It delivered a powerful message to hunters. Masterful!!! Wonderful!!!
