I know right. I thought it was funny at first when Leon believing Pin to be alive seemed to be childhood innocence. Then it came to a point where he seemed to be too old not to get it. Then the movie hits you over the head with his insanity, and that is when I stopped laughing and started getting creeped out. Damn good for a low budget thriller, I hope they do the remake right. It could be exactly what we need in this time of generic nothing movies.

Ive spoke to the screenwriter of the remake a few times. He genuinely seems to care about bringing the novel to life but setting it in modern times. I for one am extremely excited for it to come out.

We'll see. Some of the screenplay that I have read seems good. I like the progression of the mother and fathers respective illnesses. It is heavy in some things that just do not make their way into hollywood productions. I have my fingers crossed that this will be an indie picture like the Maniac remake.

The Maniac remake was my favorite movie last year. Is there any way you could link me to what you read so far? I would really appreciate it.
