There's barely any violence a one or two nude shots but that's it. I think the R comes from just the bizarre plot. I would have to say that I could see this movie being much more disturbing to a young viewer then other "horror" films
Still, I can imagine that some people might find the scene very strong, where Leon bursts the guy's skull in. So maybe it is best to mention that as well.o_O
