I agree that it should be listed if it was included in those shows.

This Woman's Work was the perfect song for that scene. Amazing. I have owned the soundtrack for years but it's nice to see others who feel the same way.

Well, the song is written and performed by the ever wonderful Kate Bush, don't think she's made a wrong step once in her career. And the song fits perfectly into the film.

Just for the records: Kate wrote this gem of music specificly for the scene, once Mr. Huges sent the tape with the footage to her in order to guide/help her. And it worked amazingly, didn't it?

By the way, this music is also present in the opening scene (a beautyful one also, must say)of an italian movie called "Cronaca de un amore violato" - 1996. http://www.imdb.com/board/10112743/

I am incapable of watching that scene or even listening to the song without weeping. It is so perfect and so profoundly touching. The whole film is underrated.

Whenever I know this movie is on, I always try to watch at least this scene. It's so profound and the music is so perfect. Before IMDB, I spent years trying to find out the name of the song and the artist. Now I have several of her albums, but nothing ever touches me as much as this song. This is one of the best movie scenes I have ever experienced.
AMC just chopped it all to death. I'm angry.

Agree on the AMC bit. I started watching it there then got out the DVD. They left out WAY too much.

I just watched this movie again for the second time, perhaps third can't remember
but yeah what a great scene, I got a little misty but not teary. perfect song to play and Kevin's acting was pretty good.
that's the thing about John Hughes movies, they are comedies but they also have a little drama in them.
Ferris Beuller - the car/who do ya love scene
Planes Trains and Automobiles - you wanna hurt me? scene
Breakfast Club - confessions and opening up scene in circle
                    She's Having A Baby - birth scene
there will never be a director like him again, not Kevin Smith or Judd Apatow who come close but not too close.

The movie was on cable tonight and I remember it when it first came out. Kevin was such perfect casting. He did have great hair too. "This Woman's Work" was the perfect song for a movie I really did enjoy!
