Well, they have that kind of relationship where they can say stuff like that to each other. I would love to have that kind of relationship with my mother about sex. If your own mother/ father can't joke with you about sex, then you shouldn't be joking about it, period.
Don't hate. Appreciate. -

The Brady Bunch was always the perfect family, could always talk to each other about anything and of course always solved all of their problems in 30 minutes. The previous poster echos the thoughts of many that they wish they had that kind of relationship with their family in real life. To change the Brady formula for one of these 2 hour reunion shows would have seemed more out of place than to simply get through a couple of these awkward moments, like Carol walking in on Jan & Phil and giving them permission to get it on while the rest of the Brady clan reminisced about their trip to Hawaii or something over breakfast. The writers encountered this problem when they introduced Jan & Phil's marital problems in the first place. Solving the marital problems in a Brady way was of course not going to be very realistic so they did a fairly decent job getting that plot point out of the way and moving on quickly without being completely over the top.

You people obviously never watched The Brady Brides in 1981. It was FULL of sexual inuendoes! Besides that Wally slept naked.
A Very Brady Christmas came 7 years later and Carol saying they could be late for breakfast is just natural. When people fight they reconcile. That is part of life. Besides, how many times did we see Carol and Mike JUST before they had sex during the original run of the Brady Bunch? MANY!

TheJoshma,
You should not just write "grow up" without saying to WHOM IS IT SAID! I have no idea if you're saying this to me, to the person who wrote before me, the person who wrote the original post or to everyone who wrote.
So who was it?

TheJoshman,
NO, it did NOT speak for itself! If it had, I would not have posted. How is anyone suppose to assume who it was meant for? There was no hint whatsoever! Not everyone reads the original post. Some people read only the last post or the last few posts.

Since "mikey-285" never existed until this last comment, I'm going to presume this was really Joshman replying under another name to make it look like someone else thinks like him.

That whole flick had alot of moments that werent very Brady. But that one scene really didnt fit, I mean really in the most normal of households a mom wouldnt say that not to mention the Bradys!! I know they wanted to express they were all grown up, but man!

That was a rather ewww moment.
During The Brady Brides, Wally and Marsha made out in front of Carol several times, and Wally made rather lewd jokes about their relationship to Carol often. It always made Marcia look like such a nymph when her mom was around.
Another somewhat ew moment was when Jan and Phillip were bed hopping during the pilot of The Bradys, because they were trying to conceive a child. Watching Jan continually try to be arousing was just bizarre.
