Does anyone know what we're looking at as the end titles scroll? Is it sparks?

Growing up watching this as a kid, I always wondered the same thing. I always thought they were just a bunch of stars flying around everywhere, but whatever they are, I don't think they relate to anything in the movie itself, lol.

Icehouse - Great Southern Land (also heard just before the train while he's making his way through the various climates of Australia).

I had always assumed they were sparks flying upward from a fire.

"Look! - it's the Invisible Man!"

I always thought it was exploding apples, but it has been almost 20 years since I've seen it.
