Does anyone else remember how many episodes they saw where people actually died? I used to watch this when I was young, and it was awesome, but I only remember 1 or maybe 2 stories where peopel actually died.
Am I wrong? Does anyone remember it differently? -

There was an episode up in Michigan where an elderly couple's car was hit by two runaway boxcars at a railroad crossing where the signals somehow malfunctioned and didn't come on. The husband survived, but the wife, sitting in the passenger seat where the car was hit, was killed.

There was an episode where a teenage boy sniffed butane and he died, then an elderly man was flying his plane and suffered a heart attack and his wife had to get directions a air traffic controller to land the plane.

I think there were between 20 and 30 segments where people died. Many of those segments were either about mass casualty incidents where the segment mostly consisted of actual footage, or were documentary segments where the outcome couldn't have been known at the beginning of filming. They didn't usually reenact stories involving deaths unless there were other victims who survived the incident.

I remember one from when I was a kid that I never got to see the end of because it had me crying so hard. This little girl was running for the front door and she went through the glass and she was all cut up and bleeding heavily, and the paramedics came and they put her in a helicopter to rush her to the hospital, and they said on the way there, that she died, but if memory serves, they said that it was only for a few minutes, like her heart and everything had stopped but they'd gotten it going again.
