No one knows but I grew up with it and my kids have grown up with it too. I think that is cool. Now no one jump on me, I waited until they were about 10 or so to start watching it.

It should run from 1989 to 2020 so it can span 5 decades
That's only 3 decades and one year.
correction: That's only 3 decades.
The Simpsons didn't premiere until December 1989 and the second episode wasn't until January 1990.
January 1990 - January 2020 = 3 decades.
okay, 3 decades and 1 episode.
Who wants to watch more than 1 episode of this, anyways?
For that matter, who wants to watch even 1 episode of this crummy show at all? -

80's.90's.00's.10's.20's.that would make 5 decades. Why would somebody waste their time posting on a show they don't like? Pretty lame, even for a troll.
I cry because others are stupid, and it makes me sad. -

Two and a Half Men did not finish with dignity
Thats a strange case. While it was definitely NOT the Charlie Sheen show anymore. I actually really liked what they did with Alan becoming a complete self centered sociopath. Unfortunately, I did not like Ashton Kutcher, and the drama of of his relationships and soul searching. It dragged the show down. That show was built on raw comedy and cynicism, with no moral compass what so ever. Very similar to Seinfeld and Family Guy. In a show like that, once you start exploring feelings and emotions, it becomes a completely different show.
