Interesting there was a Trump inspired character also in the Gremlins 2 film which came out the same year.

Agreed, except Biff genuinely was from fairly humble beginnings (even if he did get lucky thanks to a Sports Almanac from the future just ending up on his lap, without any real effort on his part). Didn't he live with his grandmother?
By contrast, Trump was born into immense wealth and privilege.
