What age did you stop believing in Santa ?

I remember having a conversation when I was about three saying that Santa wasn't real and I didn't believe that story, and my sister who was older said to me "Well then you won't get anything." That's about all I remember about it. I'm pretty confident kids have it all figured out they just play along because they think it's a fun story.

I wonder if that means the teacher either believes in Santa or doesn't believe in god…
I still find it hard to accept that kids actually believe it. Kids typically have an instinct for the way parents tell them things. They're pretty perceptive that way. I suppose it's possible though. -

I stopped when I was 12. Yes, a little late. But I was also very much a Christian at the time, and felt that, since there was once a dude who walked on water and cured a dude’s blindness, that it wasn’t that far fetched that a dude could travel around the world in the span of a night and deliver presents to everyone.

I had an inkling when I got a letter from "Santa" when I was 7 telling me that he couldn't find what I asked for that year…the whole thing was way too suspicious.
I pick up on things quickly…and first noticed the envelope didn't have a real stamp on it…when I asked my mother why that was, she gave me some odd excuse…she's not very good at telling lies…lol…I think I made her laugh at one point and my older brother kept trying not to laugh…and I just got a vibe from them that the letter came from my mother.
At some point I just said, "You wrote that"
I didn't even care that she couldn't find what I asked for that year.
Shortly after, one of my cousins started bursting into laughter when my mother asked her what she wanted Santa to bring her.
I picked up on it…it really wasn't a big deal to me.
And of course, at school, my friends would ask me if I still believed in Santa and I'd laugh and say no.
I already knew it was impossible for anyone to come down the chimney…and if they could, they'd fall right into a pile of burning wood.
It's like when I was in kindergarten, the teacher would tell the class she had eyes in the back of her head and could see everything we were doing when she turns her back on us…and I just looked at her like she was nuts.
Most kids aren't that dumb.

That doesn't make them dumb…they just haven't advanced yet.
But if they don't know how to do those things by the time they start school, then maybe they are.
It's when an adult starts saying stuff like they have wings and are gonna fly out the window that the kid will probably think the adult is dumb…lol

I was six and talking to another kid at school over lunch, who I think might've been Jewish or otherwise didn't celebrate Christmas. He said, "Santa doesn't exist. It's the parents."
In my head I thought, "Whaaaat? Wait… that actually makes a lot of sense."
